Those pictures tell the tale of our Christmas
We went to TX for Christmas, haven't been there in 2 years. Early morning flight that was changed no less than 3 times (thank you Air Tran), but we made it. My sister was able to join as well.
We were able to go to my Dad's country home and hung out there for a few days. Just relaxing, another puzzle came into the picture, kids got to put corn out for the deer and terrorized my Dad's dog too! They were also able to ride horses!
We went and saw the new Chipmunk movie and the kids loved it! Cat moved it to the top of her Christmas list and told Santa in her letter to him that if she didn't get it, she then knew she had been naughty. Had to explain that even Santa couldn't get a copy just yet...maybe by her March birthday..the pressure! On Christmas the kids didn't surprisingly wake us up at the crack of dawn and they were able to unwrap what they had been asking for for 2 years...a DS. Many quiet moments provided already. We then went to my step moms brothers house for that side of the family gathering, lots of people, lots of food! Saturday was boot shopping day and then we were on our way to the airport. We had a four hour layover in Georgia that was saved by the USA. Kids found some fellow DS players and I was even able to beat N at Scrabble! He say's it's because it was online, but hey...a win is a win! We got back Sunday and then left Thursday for the cabin.
