This and That

So, the movie was good...the kids liked it so much that we had to keep until tomorrow so they could watch it again tonite.  Saturday, while I had fun with A, the shopping wasn't so good.  Comically, I found something in the stores near me!  Seems to always happen that way.  Sunday we went to church, Cat had a birthday party and then we just hung out at home.

Monday night was bball practice, tonight I need to take my first Math test of the class (fingers crossed!), Wed is bball practice again, Friday, N and I are going on date nite to hunt down these shoes I saw...what a guy!  Saturday is bball game and craft day at Michaels that Cat wants to go to.

Funny story; I was taking the kids to school today, because for the life of her the bus driver can't decide what time she wants to come to the bus stop and Bean said, " We have to fly on Southwest, because bags are free and you save $100 dollars."  Ummm...maybe someone is watching a little bit too much TV...ya think?

Update, Update, Update!

Since I'm getting behind again, here is a week catch up for so far....

Weekend

This past weekend, everyone was sick so we took it easy.  Saturday, I ran errands and Sunday we had our neighbors over to watch the Ravens game. 

Good game and I used the MM Sandwich from Pioneer Woman and it didn't turn out too bad! While the neighbors were over, we all exchanged all the photos we had of times together, I may or may not have accidently deleted the ones we had.  N was none too pleased, thankfully we were able to recover them and I am now able to sleep inside!

Monday

So if I had to pick a word for 2010, it would be goodbye.  Those people that are closest to me will be moving, leaving for awhile and turning my world upside down this year.  One of our close couple friends/neighbors are moving to Idaho this week and the girls got together at a favorite dinner place.  We stayed for 3 hours and closed it down!  I had a great time, I tried to keep the bittersweet feeling in the back of my head and just enjoy the time.  I love these girls and I laughed, maybe danced in the middle of the restaurant and ate one or two, ok it was three deep fried oreos!

I will miss her!


Tuesday

I got sprayed with a fire extinguisher tonight and I wasn't even on fire!  Tonight was the last flight of our neighbor that is leaving.  My first experience and I'm glad I was there.  We went out on the flight line and saw him taxi and then he got out and he was sprayed with champagne and the fire extinguisher came out as well.  His step-dad was in charge of the fire extinguisher and Zach was able to grab it and turned it in him and the the rest of us that were around the jet....made for a cold, fun night.  I will miss them terribly and wish him the best in his next assignment.

Wednesday

Tonight is Bean's basketball practice at 5 pm.  We need to leave the house by 430 and the kids don't get off the bus until 345.  Needless to say, it's a crazy 45 minutes as I am trying to get them a snack, get them to change, do their homework and throw an outfit for tomorrow out.  That was all done, we were getting in the car and I couldn't find my keys.  I'm checking my pockets, retracing my steps, looking in the garage, looking in the rooms I had been in and everything.  I called N and told him I couldn't find my keys, that we might not be able to make practice, we really needed to be there as the first game is Friday and they were passing out uniforms.  As I pulled the kids out of the car and told them we wouldn't be able to make the practice, Bean comes in, opens a drawer and there are my keys.  That.he.hid.  I mean really...so, we are here and I am teleblogging.

Friday is the basketball game, Saturday, we say goodbye to our neighbors and Saturday night is the Ravens game.  I am doing good (so far) maintaining the Math homework, Astronomy starts in March.

A door to door meat salesman (something I for sure didn't see living in AZ) came to my door today...I don't trust the meas and we be scared to feed it to my family, so I never know what to say, I cam up with "We are vegetarians"  seemed to work and he left.  Later, Cat asked me why I told him we were veternarians!

Weekend Recap!

Let's see; Friday was grocery shopping day.....cue happy kids...NOT! But they know we were out of little bites, cereal...you know all the essentials. I also may have over stressed the fact that we were getting Bean's birthday cake supplies...whatever works I say!

Saturday, I got my hair done...dark, like black! and then I went to pick out my outfit for the fashion show coming up next Sunday and Sunday we went to Sunday brunch (tell me how you spencd $30 when you have a B0G0 coupon!) and they we went to Sam's, got some comfy blankets and back home. Then took Cat to a bday party, Target to look for some boots and then got my bathrooms clean! Weekend goal met.

This week I have school stuff to take care of, get donuts for Bean's class, bake cupcakes and the cake, get a pedicure (mom treat!), maintain the house, maybe actually cook a few dinners!

Ummm...ok I think?

Recent conversation between Cat and N.

She asked if she needed to be baptized to go to heaven and I told herabout that and about what she does need to do to go to heaven. I askedher if she wanted to talk about it tonight and she said yes, whilewatching tv, because "TV is the most important thing in my life". I kid you not.

Don't know if that is a good conversation or one I should be worried about. Let me tell you; she's been throwing all sort of things out there lately.

I finished my second Math test yesterday and woke up at 2:30am and realized I forgot a negative sign...geeze. Saturday we are going to here; I've heard only good things about it. The Chef is from New York that moved back to be closer to her family.

Saturday morning, we are heading to the new Ihop that opened, then me and Amanda are off for shopping!

Next weekend, we are going to the state fair...funnel cake, deep fried banana split, chocolate covered bacon, candy apple; all await me! I think I have convinced our gang to get a old time photo before everyone ups and leaves too.

Weekend

So this weekend was mostly uneventful; but good. Saturday after doing some morning cleaning, I took the kids to see Toy Story/Toy Story 2 in 3D.















Today, we went to church, grocery shopping, I caught up on all my taped shows, read the new Grisham book and about to start studying for my Math test on Wednesday.

I got a new little memo board for the kitchen and have been writing what dinner is for the night on it and Cat decided to add in her two cents...

It's the Cure all I say!

So I got a cold this week and this is what I picked up to cure it...

Guess which one worked? Of course the chocolate! I should've tried that first! I am all better now. This weekend N will be gone for a Ravens game, so its just me and the kiddos. I am thinking of taking them to see Toy Story/Toy Story 2 in 3D and I have a Math test next week, so I will be studying for that.

Cat wrote a story about me that I will have to post; apparently I watch too much 90210!

Bean on the other hand has been trading xbox games with the neighbors that we didn't realize until his very helpful informative sister spilled the beans....kids!

October is shaping up to be busy; fair, movies, birthday celebrations; let the madness begin!

Doin what the sticker told her to do....

This weekend was a good one. Work has been a little too crazy for my taste, so I welcomed the weekend. Saturday morning, I cleaned, cleaned and did more cleaning. Saturday evening we hung out at our friends house.

Today more cleaning, even the car got involved. While the football game was on, so N was occupied and the kids took a nap, I went into town. Finished cleaning my car and even got a little shopping in!

Nothing too exciting going on this week, more math, work, housework and repeat.

She's a poet!

So the yard sale went good, we got rid a lot of stuff (main goal) and made a little cash as well.

Sunday we headed to another base so N could get some uniform things that we can't get down here and that night we went and celebrated a friends birthday at Outback. And now we come to the part where we see why I haven't been on here lately.

Bean woke up Monday morning early with a fever, and has been off and on every day since then. Needless to say, sleep is not coming easily. Nathan and I were able switch around hours, but it looks like tomorrow, I will have to take the whole day off.

I got my first Math test back and I got an A! Yea for me.

Cat has been making up "stories" as she calls them...here are a few:

I told you so....

So we are now on Cat's 3rd backpack since she went back to school less than a month ago. She was carrying a one shoulder bag, then a messenger bag and now it's back to last years backpack....if only she would have listened to me the first time.geesh.

Biology is done, done, done! I think I got a 88%, teacher has not confirmed that for me yet, shoot, I was lucky to get out of there with a passing grade I think. Math is going....still have 3 months left in that one.

This Saturday we are participating in a base community sale. Purge, purge, purge! I straightened up 2 corners of the garage today...only 99% more to go!

Not much else going on, just same ol, same ol!

Ramblings

My poor kids...so much for a diary of their lives.

"Dear Children, Mommy was very busy during the week of September 13, 2009 and that is why there is not much to tell you about what went on!"

I have one test and a book report and I will be done with my Bio class...I hope to squeez an A out of it, but we shall see. My first Math test was supposed to be last nite, but it was cancelled. So now I have to retain everything until Monday.

Ran a bunch of errands yesterday, got plastic bins to transfer stuff out of boxes in the garage for easier transporting and so it looks pretty! Only took 3 years.

This morning I went to get the kids up and Bean was in Cat's bed and I asked how that happened and Cat said, "We had a plan, after you and Daddy went to sleep, he came in bed with me because he was scared. I thought of it." You would never know she is first born would ya?!

Yesterday, I bought my new nephew 2 pairs of shoes...yes I am starting him early and sharing my love with him...say it with me...Best.Aunt.Ever!

This weekend, I will be finishing up Bio and working in the garage, (hopefully)

Up to Speed

Let's see...went to Wilmington for Labor Day weekend.....rainy, rainy and more rainy. N and I did manage to catch a movie, GI Joe....yuk. I also got started on my Christmas shopping! Which led me to order Christmas cards yesterday and got the kids' Halloween Costumes ordered. Optimus Prime for Bean and Hannah Montanta for Cat.

School tonite and my biology class is wrapping up...still have 2 tests and an Book Report due by the 20th.

Things are progressing for our next chapter...slowly, should have more information by next week. We are debating DW for Spring Break w/the kids as a last hurrah and we also bought tickets for Trans Siberian Orchestra for a present for the neighborhood gang.

I become an aunt today as well!

School is busy, work is busy, home is busy!

1. Cat yelled at her brother this monring, " you're supposed to turn off the water when you are brushing your teeth to help save the Earth!"

2. I think I have finally figured out the flow of my two classes when I have 2.5 weeks left in one!

Recap

So....this weekend. Let's see, Friday after work, I was able to drop the kids off at the neighbors house for a much needed hair appointment, Saturday was my full day of Biology lab where did different experiments and even dissected a mosquito...interesting to say the least, I know now why I like office work so much!

Today we did lunch out with friends and grocery store and target run; where yes, the purple shoes came home with me! I am wearing them to work tomorrow to start the week off right.

This week is more school, N leaves for a wedding and we are getting plans together to hang with the in-laws for the 3 day weekend, maybe I'll have some new pics to post. Until then, I have lots of reading, I should start working on my book report too!

Thank goodness it's Friday! It's been a busy week....math class starting (I did manage to make it to 1!), school starting for the kids, I had a on base spouse function last night, today I'm getting my hair done and tomorrow is a full day of lab. I also have a essay and a test to take before Sunday! As well as grocery shopping and finding Cat shoes that she will actually wear....that could be my biggest challenge yet!

I saw these last night at Target and I'm in love...I'm thinking maybe do purple for N's Christmas party this year?

Stuff

So Math didn't go as well as I had hoped, I did jump another class, but I really wanted to do better. Oh well, I am now trying to get into a Math class that starts next week and Biology has started today...they've already warned us that since it is an intensive course to expect work on the 1st day, should be interesting!

Saturday we went to the Melting Pot. Great food and had fun, but there were 2 tables where the people were overly loud...we really didn't need to know that one of them farted...I mean really.

Sunday there was a birthday party and Beans first fishing adventure....he had a blast and even caught a fish! Pictures to come later...blogger won't let me put them on right now.

This week is Biology, Myrtle Beach and next week school starts back for the kids.....where did the Summer go?

Exposed

So tomorrow morning I am taking my friend to the airport at the late hour of 4am...good times I say. I'm lucky; our other friend is coming along to keep me company on the way back.

Friday morning is my Math test and I am hoping that I do well enough to test into the class that I've already signed up for! Monday, Biology starts as well. Saturday N and I have a double date to The Melting Pot...I love, love this place! I think it's been 1.5 years since I've been there and I'm excited to get back, we may even be wild after and see a movie or something!

Sunday, N is taking Bean fishing on base, which I know he will love, he always talks about wanting to go, so I am excited for him. Next week is Myrtle Beach weekend and then school officially starts...eek. Where does the time go??

Cat was taking videos of Bean last night with my phone and as I was reviewing them, I found out that she had been taking video of me in the dressing room! Luckily I was just hanging clothes up, guess I better make sure no more of that! In one of the videos it's pretty funny because she is telling Bean that she wasn't taking a video, just messing around, when in fact she was....one smart cookie that one.

Ready or Not

So this week is gonna be a doozy. I am working later than normal to make up time for taking Cat to the Dr. Tomorrow I am having to testify at Court for a work matter, Thursday I am taking my friend to the airport at 4am, and Friday morning is my Math Placement test. I am trying to place into College Algebra. I have been looking over math practice, practice tests till I can't do it anymore....

So if I make it through this week with my head on straight, it'll be a relief.

Saturday, I went into work for about 4 hours, then Cat was feeling a little better so we went out and took advantage of tax free weekend and got her some tennis shoes and clothes. Saturday night she was up from 12-4am coughing and I ended up on the couch with her. Sunday we took it easy and I went out a got an outfit for tomorrow. (A small perk!)

I'f off to do some things around the house before I get back to Math.

Friday Night

So, it's Friday night.

Our plan yesterday for tonight consisted of a date night of movie and dinner.

Our actual tonight? Cat is sick with a lower respiratory infection and N is sick as well. Boo.

I stayed home from work and cleaned a bathroom, vacuumed, made a cherry pie and banana bread. Tomorrow I'm going into work for a little bit and after I get Bean down, I'm working on Math. Next Friday is the placement test! eek.

Hopefully this weekend I will manage to hit some stores as it's tax free weekend! 2 more weekends until our trip to Myrtle Beach! We are staying here and we are pretty excited. Then the school year begins!

Ditch, Rain and Sharpie

The title sums up my weekend.

Friday night, the girls and I went to see The Ugly Truth and because we were all hungry, we bought the biggest bag of popcorn and the worlds largest drinks.....needless to say we could have feasted off of the popcorn for another 3 days! Good movie...predicable, but funny.

Saturday, we had wanted to go to the beach, but the weather was iffy, so we trekked to the closest Best Buy to us and had lunch with the neighborhood gang. It ended up not raining until later, so we could have gone to the beach!

Sunday, the weather was yukky again. N had to work, so the kids and I cleaned up and went swimming in a neighbors pool for a little while when there was a break in the weather.

About the ditch, I was trying to be a helpful wife and mow the lawn....the mower just stopped about 90% way through and wouldn't go forward/backward. So I was wheeling it back to the garage manually and I had the steering wheel turned and it started going in the ditch by our house....took some muscle, but I stopped in from going all the way it....thank goodness. So now because of my helpfullness, N has to figure out what I did didn't do to it!

Sharpie; I was washing N's uniform and I checked all the pants pockets for miscellanous and he was in charge of the shirts, got clothes out of dryer and sure enough...sharpie was left behind. Sharpies all over towels, pjs and luckily only 2 small spots on the uniform and oh yeah, all over the dryer, so now I'm on a mission to try to get it out as laundry is building up!

I have to post pictures of Cats pillow she made and proof she doesn't get to the Golden Arches much!
