Salad....sort of

Saturday was the dog party and I brought this:




it's called Snickers Apple Salad. It's made with snickers, apples, cool whip and vanilla pudding mix. I added caramel topping on top as well when I was trying to make it pretty. It went over good at the party.....doesn't taste as good the 2nd day, but the neighbors told me they had the leftovers for breakfast!

Sunday we went to church, Sams run and swam in the neighbors pool that was a nice shade of green! We said it was organic; a little scary tho! Kids had fun and my base tan is in motion.

This week we have dentist appointments and Keith Urban on Friday....got these tickets forever a go and we have floor seats....date night for N and I. Saturday I am going shopping w/ my two friends, my goal is a new bathing suit...hopefully with my Shred workout it won't be as scary! (Still trucking a long on that...miss a couple of days, but determined to see it through). My car should be ready by Wednesday or so, Holly is getting two new tires...because really, 5 months is just way too long for a set...right??

Off to read My Sister's Keeper so I can compare it to the movie once I see it and maybe squeeze some more math practice in.

My car needs two 2 tires and will take 3-5 days, so we have rental for now.....man, not what I wanted to spend $$ on for sure! Today we have no plans except for the neighbor's dog birthday party......

Friday

We are just going to ignore the fact that I had 2 blown tires this morning and had to get my newish car towed to the dealer all before 8 am with 2 children freakin out that they would miss roller skating/park day and move on to what I wanted to put up.

My flowers in my flower bed! I do not have a green thumb at all, so I am so proud!

My Hosta and Hydrangena are blooming and I'm so excited...both in my favorite color!

Here's to a great weekend and fingers crossed for a low tire bill!

Slackin'

Its been somewhat busy here, hence no new posts (sorry, Mom!).

Let's see; Monday night was the No Doubt concert in the big city....went with our friends and had fun, one of the not so much as she got a speeding ticket, but she still had fun!










Tuesday, I went to Urgent Care to get a rash checked out and I am now on Steroids for 5 days to see if that clears it up, if not, the Dr. said it will go away....in about 6-12 weeks! I'm going to Ocean City for 4th of July and do NOT want to be all spotted leopard like. Medicine is giving me crazy dreams as well. 3 more days to go.

Wednesday was the kids' last day of school...can't believe another year has gone by. I feel like Bean is really growing up before me. For some reason, I'm noticing his little steps more than Cat. I think she just woke up and was a little person! We went to N's playoff softball game, he didn't win, but we still were glad we were able to see him play.

Today, we are just hanging out. I think I'm going to make a Coconut Pie soon. Saturday is our neighbor's dogs birthday party...also the 3 year anniversary of us meeting our awesome neighbors...don't know what we would do without them!

Side Note; We also have had ants....so that's been fun cleaning up and trying to keep them at bay.

Coming up is hair appointment, rug cleaning, Keith Urban concert, dentist, OC in July, me and my friends are checking out a shopping mall none of us has been too as well. (They of course had to twist my arm!)

It's a crazy, beautiful life!

Tball, Awards and Summer

Saturday morning was Beans last game of the season...he was excited because he got to be the catcher for an inning; all the kids seem to fight over that position. He had a great time and now is asking (over and over) to play football. I still don't know about that just yet.



Friday was his awards ceremony at school. He got Honor Roll, Citizenship award, 100 book club award and First Place in Art that also had his picture published in a book of all the winners for the county. Very exciting. He also led the pledge of allegiance.





This week is the last week of school for the kids. I have Cat's awards ceremony on Monday, concert Monday night and I am still plugging away at Math. N and I are supposed to have a tutoring session today to help me learn this stuff.

We are hoping to get to Myrtle Beach soon and Ocean City for 4th of July...

3rd Day

I am currently doing the 30 day Shred work out in preparation for July 4th at Ocean City....30 days to get my body is half decent shape. I've recruited 2 of my friends to do it with me and mostly to make sure I do it! I'm sore, but so far so good. I am only on Level 1 of 3, so we shall see if that holds....

I also have been taking and working on Math practice tests, I need to test out of Immediate Algebra in order for my College Algebra to count at my school...I guess I should've paid attention in middle-high school...I still don't like Math!

We have 2 more games and Bean is done with tball and maybe we can take it easy....not much on for the weekend; tball, grocery store and more math practice with my math whiz of a husband.

And back again...

We went to MD for the weekend because N's brother and his wife (who is expecting) came up for the weekend to attend his 10 yr reunion...and if you followed that you are better than I.

Saturday, we had breakfast at IKEA. Gotta love those .99 breakfastes (is that even a word?) and then ventured to Camden Yards to buy tickets for the Orioles v. Tigers game. Our neighbor that moved is in town interning and we were able to meet up with him and he came along to the game as well.

Sunday we went to church, saw old friends and headed back home. We are planning another trip up there in July. My car is putting on the miles for sure.

Bean has 3 tball games this week and the season is over. The kids are out of school on June 10th. My Biology class starts in August, so I am hoping for relaxing June and July. I've cleaned out all the closets in the house and even a few random cabinets. Still need to tackle the garage!

In preparation for Summer, I am starting the 30 day shred tonite....eek!
