Conversation w/ Cat this morning

Cat-"Mom, you know how if you point your middle finger it's bad?"
Me-"Yes, why?"
Cat-"Is it bad to point my middle toe too?"

This morning it was foggy and Cat said, " Look it's froggy!"

I can't make this stuff up!

I am currently researching SLR cameras, I would like to get one soon, I'm becoming more interested in photos since entering blog land.

I bought the Wii Fit and yesterday it told me to lay off the afternoon snacks?! How does it know?

In Memory

This past weekend we found out that 2 pilots from our base were killed in a crash in Afghanistan. The first casualities from our base since Operation Desert Storm. My friend is over there and they were from his squadron. Made me stop and think about the 3,000 or so others that have lost their lives in this war and made me hug N a little tighter.

So this weekend was pretty much following the online paper and waiting for any additional information.

Nature Walk

Went outside tonite to put something in the mail for tomorrow and look what was waiting for me!



There were 2 of them and they were awesome! Then on the way back in, I spotted this creature:





On tap for this weekend is sleeping in (yea!), birthday party for a neighbors daughter, church, maybe Kohls? and relaxing. I have to get back into Math practice before next month and we booked our Myrtle Beach weekend...

Perfume or Parfum??

What's that you see? Air Freshner for the bathroom?? Not according to Cat, she apparently, uses it as her perfume! She sprays it not just once or twice, about five to six times to boot!

Oh well...guess its cheap and Country Garden smell for her!

Wow

Been a whole week since I last wrote! This past weekend, our friend came down from Baltimore, so we hung out all weekend. Saturday, we did the pool thing and played Rock Band that night, Sunday we took lunch to N at work, then played Wii, Apples to Apples and ordered pizza.

Had 2 snow cones as well over the weekend and they were delish....one w/ cream and the other with marshmellow. I like the ice at the place with cream, but wish they had marshmellow.

Bean told me last night that the reason he talks when I tell him to go to bed is because he can't breathe if he isn't talking....hmmm. His teacher told me yesterday that he is so well behaved with great manners and just a great kid during the day! For which I am glad, but maybe he runs out of all of that when I get him?!

Not much this week, working and cleaning.

2 weeks is another VBS at the church we have been attending for a little while, this one goes until 9pm, so we shall see how long the kids hold out.

In August we are planning to go the Myrtle Beach and I start my classes and take my placement test for Math...bleh!

Weekend

I was trying to wait to get some more pictures, before I did this post, but I'll roll with what I have.

Thursday night we headed up to Maryland and I was surprised at the traffic that wasn't there on our way up. Friday morning we headed to Annapolis and the Naval Academy.

Friday afternoon after a quick trip to Dave and Busters (I mean really quick....like take a potty break and go!), we picked up our friend from the airport and headed to the Inner Harbor.

Went picked up our luggage at my inlaws and said goodbye and it was off to our friends house for the night before we headed to the beach in the morning. We hung out that night, played games, ate and caught up.

In the morning, we left and we on our way with about 1,032,084,589 other people...traffic was horrible, it took about 5 hours to get to the beach.

We finally got there, had lunch on the beach, played football, paddle ball, jumped waves in freezing water and had a good time. We went back showered and walked the boardwalk and found dinner and were able to watch fireworks from our seat. We then changed, went to one club before it closed in 30 mins and called it a night.

Sunday, we woke up stood in line for Dunkin Donuts, then checked out of our hotel and went jet skiing. All the couples shared a jet ski....N was tame...somewhat, but I held on! We had a waterproof camera that hopefully we got some good shots on.

We then ate lunch at the same place

Then after lunch we headed home, again traffic was terrible, took about 5 hours, then we picked up the kids, and got back on the road to get back to NC. I only got turned around twice and we made it back by 130am.

And no worries about the kids; the in laws had them busy, busy.

It was a good weekend and can't believe it's been almost a week!

This week has been catch up on house, may take the kids to see Up! this weekend. Trying to get going on the garage as well.

Classes start back end of August and I'm still trying to get smart in Math!

Tomorrow after I get off of work, we are heading to Ocean City, MD...well first, get to N's parents house to transfer Cat and Bean for the weekend, then we are meeting up with friends down at the beach...can't wait!
