Ode to N

Since we were half asleep from our trip back from Vegas, I didn't do a Valentine post about my valentine....so here goes:

N; Neverminds when I wear heels, even if I am taller than him 

A; Always makes me laugh...even if I don't wanna

T; Takes care of the yucky stuff; drain clogged, bugs and mices

H; Helps me when I need it and when I don't think I need it (you know like the Ice Cream pint he "helps" me eat)

A; Allows me to come up with some crazy ideas....and most of the time, I can/do follow through!

N; Never says I can't achieve a dream, goal or idea...a great cheerleader.

Valentine Treats

Saw this idea on MckMama's blog and decided to see if I could do it as well.

 

Me and my sister knocked them out in about an hour.....I think they are really cute, not too hard either.

This week we leave for Vegas...I have about 3 lists going of what to do, to pack and instructions...can't wait, should be fun!

Crazy!

That's where our house is at right now!  We have been snowed in for 3 days...N actually went to work today, I was able to stay home with the kids as they are out of school.  It's all ice and snow, snow and ice out there.  On the plus side, we have cleaned the house, got a few things done on my to do list and I'm about to knock out some Math homework as well.

I am already 80% packed for my trip to Vegas (next week!) too....on the ball I tell you!  Bean's game was canceled for snow and rescheduled for tonight, we shall see if that holds up!  I am itching to get into town, I need (ahem) to get a pedicure and for sure my eyebrows made back into 2 instead of 1.

I am on day 3 of the 11 day diet, yesterday was said to be the hardest and it was!  Only a deli meat sandwich and fruit.  ALL DAY.  I almost broke down, but didn't...I even didn't have any chocolate cake at a birthday party we walked to for our neighbor!

I also have done 2 straight days of my Wii fit....go me.  Staying home and not being able to do anything really motivates you to do things!

This and That

So, the movie was good...the kids liked it so much that we had to keep until tomorrow so they could watch it again tonite.  Saturday, while I had fun with A, the shopping wasn't so good.  Comically, I found something in the stores near me!  Seems to always happen that way.  Sunday we went to church, Cat had a birthday party and then we just hung out at home.

Monday night was bball practice, tonight I need to take my first Math test of the class (fingers crossed!), Wed is bball practice again, Friday, N and I are going on date nite to hunt down these shoes I saw...what a guy!  Saturday is bball game and craft day at Michaels that Cat wants to go to.

Funny story; I was taking the kids to school today, because for the life of her the bus driver can't decide what time she wants to come to the bus stop and Bean said, " We have to fly on Southwest, because bags are free and you save $100 dollars."  Ummm...maybe someone is watching a little bit too much TV...ya think?

Family Fun!

Tonight is family movie night....we are gonna watch this; finally!  Been wanting to see it for awhile

Tomorrow, A and I are going shopping in the big city to get some wardrobe updates for your trip to see this guy in 19 days!!

Overstock...you Rock!

So in light of the traveling we were about to do, back in December, I ordered new luggage from Overstock.com.  6 piece set Gray (unlike what N thinks, it's gray, not black!  rant over).  We used it over Christmas and New Years.  The top handle of the biggest piece broke exposing a metal piece that N cut his finger on and the plastic extender handle was also bent and didn't go up and down without a fight.  Overstock.com has this cool online chat system, you can chat with the agent over your computer!  I love that feature.  Anyways, I "chatted" with the agent and explained the situation and she said we will send you a new one no problem.  It was sent and I noticed that it was the smaller big one (still following?), no the biggest one.  So, I got back on the "chat", explained the original situation and the new one.  They emailed me a pre paid return label and said once they got the wrong return back, they would send a new one.  I vertified the size with that agent and again when I got email notice that the new one had been sent. 

(I would like to point out to N, that even the description says Gray!...Love you!)

Lo and behold, yesterday I received the new return and what do you know, they sent me a whole new luggage set...all 6 pieces!  Way to Go Overstock!

What is comical is that during Christmas I had ordered legos for Bean and Toys R Us sent 2 of the sets.  The set was a Y-Wing Star Wars..$60, and they sent two! I called just to make sure that I wouldn't be charged for both and they said, no it's our mistake, keep it.

I need to go buy a lotto ticket!
