Friday Night

So, it's Friday night.

Our plan yesterday for tonight consisted of a date night of movie and dinner.

Our actual tonight? Cat is sick with a lower respiratory infection and N is sick as well. Boo.

I stayed home from work and cleaned a bathroom, vacuumed, made a cherry pie and banana bread. Tomorrow I'm going into work for a little bit and after I get Bean down, I'm working on Math. Next Friday is the placement test! eek.

Hopefully this weekend I will manage to hit some stores as it's tax free weekend! 2 more weekends until our trip to Myrtle Beach! We are staying here and we are pretty excited. Then the school year begins!

Monday, Monday

Had a good weekend; caught up with some old friends, did a little shopping (I didn't buy a thing for me!...yesterday at least!) and even bought some plums, blackberries and tomatoes from a road side stand that are wonderful. While at the outlets, there is a kitchen store that offer samples of their dips; turns out my children were eating all the pretzels and the salesclerk asked them to stop....geesh...who raised these children?!

On tap for this week is to get ready for the weekend! I have the food packed, just need to tackle clothes and beach gear....

What a week!

VBS went good; pulled the kids out one night because it seems the late hour they get out and then they still have to get up early, they get grumpy. Bean even fell asleep at dinner one night!

Friday night I went to see the Proposal with my friends and today I got my hair done, cleaned up the house and now I'm about to watch Changeling.

Tomorrow we are meeting up with N's friend from Tech School and his wife and two kids at Cracker Barrel....love me some Sunday chicken!

Cat said something funny the other day.......she said that during her Field Day at school, her and her friends smelled each other's towels to see what their houses smells like...ours came back as beach. I guess that ok...right?

Bean wrote himself a check for $100 for lunch money....on.a.real.check! We are saving it, but man, the kids knows how to fill out a check at 6!

This week we are headed back to the dentist so Bean can get sealants...then Thursday we are off to Ocean City!

What a weekend!

Saturday, N took the kids to the beach for the whole day! 9am-9pm. It was wonderful...I got my belated Mother's Day pedicure, watched a chick flick, did 2 loads of laundry, mowed the front yard (I felt guilty) and did a little shopping and decorating for the house and got ready for Busch Gardens.

Sunday, we left a 615am, picked up our neighbor and her baby and hit the road for the 3 hour drive. Type A me wanted to get there at 930 to beat the crowds. We ended up getting there at about 1010, parking line was long, but we were able to get our tickets (free for military!) and walk into the park without much trouble. The lines were not as bad as I had expected, only one ride had an hour wait that we didn't ride, but other than that, 15-20 min if that for the rides. Kids had fun and loved the bumper cars best, as they talked N into making an hour trek back to them before we left as it was raining. Bean rode Pompei again but got scared of the fire. My friend and I waited in the world's longest Funnel cake line, but it was devine!

Monday, we visited the VA Kohls, ate at Cracker Barrel and drove home and were back by 3. It was a very good relaxing 3 day weekend.

This weekend we are going to MD to visit N's brother and sister in law. I also got signed up for my classes that begin in August and my to clean out list is getting longer~

Rugs and Plans

My friend came back from Pakistan recently and look what he brought us! I was so excited and it matches perfectly...I was looking for something to spice up the living room and I think it does the job! The cool part is it looks dark when looking at the couch and it looks light when looking towards the TV.









We have made plans for this weekend (finally!) we are going to Busch Gardens on Sun and staying the night and coming back Monday. We may or may not hit the beach as well...we shall see. I hope it's not too crowded, but that's asking for a small miracle!

We had a good trip. Saw lots of friends, went to the Aquarium, got to spend Easter w/ my family, caught up on eating out at restaurants, saw more movies (3) than I probably have in the last year, enjoyed some pool time... Thanks Mom and Les!

Now it's T-ball, finishing up the semester...
