Haircut

So...Cat was treated to a haircut today, courtesy of lice...oh, the dreaded lice. When I figured it out after a couple of days of her scratching her hair so much she looked like Cousin It, I almost cried. Flashback...... to my Senior year in high school...2 weeks until Prom, I was flying my then on again, off again boyfriend (now husband) that was my prom date in and could not believe the timing. It was the worst! My poor Mom, I probably took 5 years off her life that day. She had to go through 5 peoples heads looking for those pesky things.

So, luckily I think we caught it early enough; it was not too bad. 12 loads of laundry later, 15 Rid Applications, 1 haircut, I think she will be ok. Luckily, we talked to the school nurse and she can return to school tomorrow. That's the part Cat was so upset about; she is in the running for the Perfect Attendance trophy and did not want to blow it.

Fun Fact about lice....those buggers can hold their breath in the water!

Forever Valentine

Should I be offended or laugh?!

So the other night while making my final rounds through the house to pick up any stray clone troopers, HSM Chapstick or socks, I came upon this -------------->

I mean I clean every week (don't mind the bad paint job...painter I am not) and Cat (I assume, Bean could care less) made sure to give the toilet extra protection from germs. I appreciate that she does it in public, but you would think she would feel ok at home.

Been a bad blogger again; the thought was easier than actually carrying it out. Between kids school, my school, work, home, I've been a slacker. N and I are having Valentine's Day at home. He has to work, but it bringing Outback home for dinner and we rented Casablanca...neither of us have seen it, so I am looking forward to it. I am also going to attempt to make this...I love PW!

Next week is my trip to NY..got the tickets and hotel; now to figure out which "Coach" purses are coming home with me!

Birthdays and Awards

So A and I had fun at dinner/speed shopping Friday night. PF Changs took 1 hour to get our food to us, so we had exactly 40 minutes to shop....not much time at all, but probably a good thing. She and I are headed to continue her birthday celebration in NY in 2 weeks..so we are saving money for that :)

Last night was the awards dinner, N didn't bring home the top prize, but I think he's a winner! Here we are with his parents that came down from MD for the occasion. You can't seem them in the picture, but I am rockin some cute red shoes with this dress (deal note; the dress was $90, got it for $24.99 at JCP!). Had fun at the dinner, I had to walk through sabers and get a spotlight shone on me for a picture which was a little nerve racking; but I did it and no embarrassing incidents to boot.

Valentines this week, bball practice, homework....back to the grind.....

Just a quick note

I am off to celebrate my friend A's birthday tonight at PF Changs...haven't been there in awhile and I'm looking forward to it. Hopefully, we will have time for a little shopping as well!

I am losing my mind....but thank goodness for donuts!

So...had a message on my phone at 5am that school was on a 2 hour delay. Ok, N was on a delay as well and I found out so was ok, kiddo problem solved. 10 minutes later, another call; school is now closed. Ok, wrench in plan, took Bean to a daycare we use when the kids are out of school, but they didn't have anywhere for Cat, so I thought I would be a work for just a little bit so I took her in. First, we had breakfast with N at K.K.

Then it was off to work...the "little bit" turned into 5 hours. Oh my, Cat watched a movie, then decided my monitor needed a "bow".

Oh yeah, the snow...melted by 10am. Gotta love the school system. Tomorrow night is Grey's night at my house; bunch of the neighbors come over and we have a GA love fest. Friday, me and a friend are off to the big city for a birthday dinner and shopping!

I will try to be better at posting....

Sick

Man; it's been awhile, and here I thought I would be able to do this everyday on top of homework, kids, work and generally keeping sane. Let's see; Friday, Bean stay home sick, I left work early to take over for N so he could go to work; Saturday we had Cats back to back basketball games, grocery shopping, birthday party, had a friend over for dinner and a movie...then I got sick, really sick. The sick were you pop blood vessels under your eyes from throwing up (did not know you could do that, sorry; TMI) Sunday; we all stayed home and went over a friends house for a little while to see some of the game. N stayed while I brought the kids home for bed to start another week. This week we have basketball practice, I'm going out for my friend's birthday and Saturday, N has an awards ceremony that I get to put on my little black dress and fancy red shoes for!
